The top text box contains the name of the Schedule. You can rename the Schedule by clicking in this box and typing a new name.
Run schedule multiple times each day
Checking the 'Run schedule multiple times each day' checkbox will tell SureSync that you want to Schedule to run at set intervals throughout the day. It also activates a series of options relating to the frequency of the scheduled runs of the synchronization.
Scheduled start time for each day
'Schedule start time for each day' is the first time during each run date that SureSync will schedule the synchronization to run. You can override this for the next run date only without changing the Repeat settings by changing the next execution date on the General tab. You can edit this time by typing in a new time or using the arrow buttons to cycle through times of day.
Time between each execution (hours:minutes)
'Time between each execution' determines the amount of wait between each run of the scheduled synchronization. For example, if you want the schedule to run once an hour you would enter 01:00 in the field. If you wanted the schedule to run every 30 minutes you would enter 00:30 in the field.
Last possible time to start schedule each day
'Last possible time to start schedule each day' determines what time the schedule should be stopped for the day. For example, if you enter 8:00PM then the schedule will repeat throughout the day until it reaches 8:00PM and then stop until the 'Scheduled start time for each day' is reached again.
Reschedule Point
The 'Reschedule point' option provides two different way of handling where reschedule times are calculated from.
Scheduled Start Time
If you select 'Scheduled Start Time' then SureSync will reschedule the job from the time the schedule was last run. For example, if a schedule is set to repeat once an hour, the schedule executes at 5:00PM, and you have the option set to 'Scheduled Start Time' then the Schedule will next execute at 6:00PM.
End of job
If you instead select 'End of job' the schedule will calculate the next run from the completion time of the schedule. For example, if you have the same schedule launch at 5:00PM and it finishes at 5:30PM then the 'End of job' option will result in the schedule being set to run again at 6:30PM.
The 'Scheduled Start Time' option allows you make sure you run the schedule at exact intervals. However, this can lead to jobs being rescheduled further out in time if the schedule has not completed. For example, if you have a schedule set to run hourly from 'Scheduled Start Time' and the schedule takes 1 hour and 10 minutes to run it's possible to receive error messages about the schedule already being busy when the Schedule is attempted to launch again 1 hour after the last launch. This is due to the fact that a schedule can only be active once at the same time. This error would result in the schedule being rescheduled to run again. Going back to our original example, if you had the 5:00PM job kick off and it ran for 1 hour and 10 minutes with the 'Scheduled Start Time' option selected then at 6:00PM the Schedule would attempt to run again and find that it was already busy. It would then be rescheduled to run one hour later at 7:00PM.
Number of time to retry a failed job
If a number of retries is specified in this field SureSync will attempt to retry running a Schedule if it failed for some reason (for example, if the connection to the server was down). Enter the number of times you would like the Schedule to be retried before it is rescheduled for its next run date.
Time between retries (hours:minutes)
The 'Time between retries' option allows you to set the interval between the times that SureSync will retry a failed job. You can type in a number (in hh:mm form) or use the arrows to the right to cycle through times.
